The Institutional Framework Study for Low Carbon Cities is a study commissioned by the GTALCC project under Component 2:Awareness and Capacity Building. The objectives of this study are:

  1. To provide a comprehensive study by identifying, analyzing and proposing an institutional framework for low carbon cities in Malaysia.
  2. To provide a comprehensive study by proposing a tool to streamline the process at the local planning control for low carbon cities which shall cover development application appraisal and approval of ‘Development Order’.
  3. To provide a comprehensive study by identifying, analyzing and proposing suggestion and strategies at the One-Stop- Centre (OSC) unit at local authority as a green technology and low carbon cities advisory
